lostindots, you are welcome. Actually I was impressed of the level of engagment Paulo has with his fans. In an event two years ago, and for the preperations for his birthday, he invited 10 of his fans whom commented first on a blog post of his to his house in spain to celebrate it with him! I am sure that was an out of world experience for them :)

Amer, yes, I agree, people would prefer a book in their hands rather than reading it on computer screen, but then they always have the option of printing it out. People in general like to give as they get, I mean, and talking about myself, I feel more obliged into buying Paulo's books now to give him credit for his hard work and generosity rather than downloading free copies.

Great topic, Fadi. I think that the way Ceolho went about publishing free copies of his books on ThePirateBay is brilliant. I mean, think of it that way: how many people would prefer reading an entire book off a computer screen rather than just buying that book? I doubt it's going to be many.

Now, regarding films, music and games, maybe it can be a good way for new/amateur producers or artists to become better known, but for the top selling products, I doubt that it can be as effective.
