Minority Report-style User Interface [video]

In Minority Report one of the highlights of the movie for me was seeing the computer system they used was simply manipulated by hand gestures. So seeing this demo below was really exciting. This is the sixth sense system from MIT Labs, this system is made to interact with reality taking the virtual into the real and vice versa.

The only problem it seems is that the bulkiness of the equipement will be a challenge but once its more “fashionable” it will surely be a market hit.

What do you think? Do you see something such as this being useful in schools or even in the military in the future? Let us hear your thoughts.

P.S: If you’re in a hurry, just skip towards the end of minute 2.
