  • Seems that most of these contests aim to simply net more followers and have them re-Tweet to spread the word. Do you have any examples of business using Twitter contests for content creation around their services/products? (Basically, outsourcing advertising to individual producers.)

Last month, @zubaz sent out a Tweet about its new party van, asking followers for ideas about what should go inside. In response, I made a short video (quietly, because I was at my office) and Tweeted in reply. Zubaz in return re-Tweeted to its audience–voila, a free ad for them without appearing as much to their targeted audience. I guess my point is that I wish they would have at least sent me a free pair of baggy-crotched pants as a prize for my effort.

We just launched a contest to give away a new LG 32-inch LCD HDTV via twitter – http://twitter.com/livability and our website http://livability.com. Basically we're seeking input on how to make Livability a better relocation website. Send us your suggestions via the website and you'll be entered into a drawing for the TV.

  • Hey John, thanks for letting us know! Wish you all the luck!
