5 Great Facebook Fan Pages That Truly “Get it”

A Facebook fanpage is quickly becoming the place where people go to get the latest news about what is going on with a brand, it is also becoming the favorite place for people to make their inquiries about the brand and just generally interact with the brands that they like. So it is really important to have a well designed fanpage.

There are a lot of elements needed to create a great Facebook fanpage. From the addictive games to the interesting videos posted on the page, there are many things that brands can do to keep their fans coming in to check their page and interact with others in their space.

Today, I’ll be sharing 5 of my favorite fanpages that truly “get it”:

Victoria’s Secret

Victoria's Secret's Page

I can tout the technical skills that went into creating their page but I won’t. Their page plainly put is… Pretty! You can always count on them to provide you with your daily dose of eyecandy. They also have very interesting apps such as their Love Note which will allow you to create a very cute love letter to send to your sweetheart.

McDonald's Page

McDonald’s page is truly one of my favorites. I’m always greeted with their latest offerings and I always spend a minute or two on it either playing some of their mini-games or checking what others have to say about McDonald on their wall which is constantly amusing.
They also use their page to advertise about their promotions such as the McDonald’s farms in Farmville.

Zappos' Page

Zappos' Page

Zappos are one of the brands that wouldn’t be the same if it wasn’t for their social media presence; their Twitter account is legendary when it comes to customer service so naturally their fanpage is centered around their fans. The page is fancentric to the extent that you have to like the brand to even see anything on their page! Plus, they are a 100 or so fans away from 100,000 fans so they are sure to be planning something special for that.

iTunes' Page

The best things about the iTunes page is functionality: the page brings most of the iTunes stores features to Facebook. If you like their page, you will earn yourself 10 free songs on iTunes, how’s that for an incentive ?

If that’s not enough the page also features a play list creator that will allow you to share your top 5 Glee songs with your friends.

Porsche's Color Styler

For the car lovers, Porsche certainly has one of the more interesting pages in the industry. Their Color Styler will allow you to customize your own Porsche car and you can spend hours looking at Porsche cars in their photo gallery.

Nice choice of pages. I would add Skittles too, they have a great conversational style with thier base and some cracking tactics. It’s also fair to say that all these brands have had good budget assigned to thier Facebook channels, which is why they are in such good shape. There are still a lot of businesses that are not prepared sign off budget toward Facebook. I posted an infographic about it recently.
