Attention all coffee lovers, the brilliant minds at Starbucks have come up with yet another unique way to capture your attention and gain your loyalty: My Starbucks Signature!
So, What’s the Deal?
My Starbucks Signature lets you build your drink, name it, and share it with your friends. My Starbucks Signature can also show you nutrition information, but it’s wrong, at least in my case. It doesn’t show the result of all customizations.
The site is user-friendly and the steps to creating one’s personal drink is very easy.
Google is buzzing with articles and posts about this great social media based experience. Moreover, the website has more than 17,000 likes on its Facebook page and people are sharing the drinks they create on Twitter as well!
Opinion & Lessons Learned:
I have always been a big fan of Starbucks, especially when it comes to their awesome Caramel Macchiato and Raspberry Frappe! This marketing move makes me even a bigger fan since it feels great to have my own personal drink, with my signature all over it. Smart, creative and definitely appealing indeed!
So, what can we learn from Starbucks approach to social media?
- Empower Your Customers: Whenever possible, allow your customers to take the steering wheel; not only does it make them feel good about themselves, it also strengthens their loyalty towards your brand, product and/or service.
