For the past month, the internet has been really buzzing with various news headlines and articles related to Google! Apparently, Google is going through some major changes, mostly to the better, and everyone is excited about what’s next in line!

Therefore, I decided to dedicate this post to latest Google news that can change the way you deal with the internet in general and your view of Google in specific.

  • Google To Do More Piracy Fighting with Search:

Google, once considered by some media companies as a rogue actor on the issue of copyright, is stepping up antipiracy efforts, the company said today. (Read more at CNET)

  • Multiple Gmail Accounts Just Got A Lot Easier to Manage:

Google announced yet another awesome Gmail feature. Called e-mail delegation, the feature will allow you to easily manage multiple Gmail accounts without signing in and out of Gmail and switching accounts manually. (Read more at CNN)

Global Work Party Campaign — Learn Social Media by Example

350 parts per million of CO2 in the atmosphere is what scientist believe to be the safe limit for humanity. The amount of carbon dioxide currently in the atmosphere of earth is 388 ppm. 350.org is an international campaign that was established with the aim of mobilizing a grassroots movement focusing on creating solutions for climate change problems and pressuring the leaders to mobilize their efforts to solve the environmental crisis that we are currently facing.

In October of last year, they successfully coordinated 5,200 simultaneous rallies and demonstrations in 181 countries, which was described by CNN as the “most widespread day of political action in the planet’s history”. In October 2010, they set their goals higher in organizing a“Global Work Party”, a day were individuals demonstrate their actions and solutions to environmental problems sending a strong message to their leaders that “If we can get to work on solutions to the climate crisis, so can you“.

Corporate Transparency and user information privacy are hot topic issues on the net, and with bigger and bigger services people are becoming more and more aware that their information is not solely accessible by those whom they decide to share their information with. Google has released a couple of new services that will address privacy issues and raise the level of transparency that Google has about its interaction with the governments of he world.
